There is an AC Milan away shirt for the 2017-18 season unveiled by Adidas and AC Milan. Although it is predominately white, the shirt still features the traditional elements of the club. The collar and cuffs are decorated with red and black stripes, showing respect for the 1966-67 football match jersey. Adidas brand logo and the sponsor’s name are red in color. The club crest and one gold five-pointed star are printed on the chest. Classic Adidas three stripes, put on both sides of the shirt, are also red and black, which is inspired by the white shirts worn in the 2002-03 and the 2006-07 seasons where AC Milan won UEFA Champions League. A small Italy national flag, a symbol of national pride, is placed at the back of the collar, which is a tradition of the club.
Climacool fabric can make players more breathable and comfortable when they are running at football pitches. In addition, the shirt is made from recycled polyester, reducing carbon dioxide emissions, at the same time, reducing the impact on environment. What’s more, the manufacturing process plays an important role in sustainable project of Adidas.
Together with the debut of the away shirt, there is also a video released by Adidas that designer James Webb introduced how to get inspired from the club’s great tradition and to create a new jersey.
